his brother William Charles Dukes Sr. married his wifes sister Dianna P Carleton.

The Benton County, Enterprise, Monday April 4 1916:
Alfred Dukes,
An old citizen gone died at his home in the Sunnyside Community.
His wife 2 daughters & 1 son proceeded him to the other world several years ago. He leaves 5 sons, 4 daughters, and a host of friends to mourn his departure. Funeral services were conducted by Rev W S Weir at Sunnyside Chapel. The body laid to rest in the Cemetery near the church.

He owned 80 acres across the road from the Church/Cemetery, and just a hair south,
He helped build Sunnyside Chapel in 1878

*he was a very tall man, well over 6'*
next door neighbor's & friends were
Louis Powell & his wife Rachel Fryback
their children grew up together.
