He was a medical Doctor. oldest of 12 children born to Alfred Harrison Dukes and Mary M Carleton. He was one of two Graduates of Barnes Medical College in the class of 1900. He married Betty Jane Comer, Feb 25 1891 Benton Co MO., they had one daughter Olive M Dukes b 1892(m Harry Johnson)-there is no headstone marking his grave, he is buried directly behind his father, according to the cemetery records.
