Sherman Parker Williams

MOULTRIE -Sherman Parker William, 70, of Moultrie died Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at Magnolia Manor South Nursing Center.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. today at Baker Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. James Williams and the Rev. Lennon Howell officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at Sardis Cemetery. David Williams, Michael Williams, Stephen Williams, John Norman, Ed Norman and Bob Pearce will serve as casket-bearers.

Born Feb. 15, 1934, in Colquitt County, Mr. Williams was the son of the late S.M. "Bud" Williams and Willie Belle Brown Williams. He was a surveyor and retired farmer; a Mason and a member of China Grove Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Williams and Martin Williams, and a sister Myrtice Norman.

Survivors include four brothers, John H. Williams Sr., Ray Gene Williams Sr. and wife Jeanette, and Alvin Williams and wife Dinky, all of Moultrie and Sidney M. Williams Sr. and wife Sandra of Thomaston, and three sisters, Agnes W. Davis and Bernice Pearce Hiers and husband Gene, all of Moultrie, and June Holcomb and husband Frank of McDonough.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
