Storm Lake Pilot-Tribune - August 24, 1944 - Charley Gulling, son of Mr and Mrs. E.S. Gulling of near Rembrandt, was born at Vandalia, Iowa October 25, 1896, and passed away August 15, 1944.
At the age of seven years, he moved to a farm near Storm Lake, where he grew to manhood. On February 27, 1926 he was joined in marriage to Frances Storm at Storm Lake. They spent three years on a farm in the vicinity of Storm Lake and then moved to Storm Lake.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife, Frances, two daughters, Jean and Eleanor, and one son, Richard; his parents, Mr and Mrs. E.S Gulling; and one brother, Jack Gulling of near Storm Lake, four sisters: Mrs. Lettie Corbin of Sherburn, Minn., Mrs. Earl Jenson of Ghecn, Minn., Mrs Jimmy Yell of Imperial, Texas, and Mrs. Jesse Cattermole of Storm Lake. He was a member of the Methodist church and the American Legion.
