Mrs. Isabella Moore, wife of John T. Moore, who for many years has been mine superintendent in the D. & H. C. Co., died at 2 o'clock yesterday morning at her residence in Miners Mills, of blood poisoning. She had been ill for about three months, from the effects of a nail which had pierced her foot.
Mrs. Moore was born in England 65 years ago and came to this country in her 37th year. She had lived in Miners Mills for 19 years, and by the kindliness of her disposition, and particularly by her charity towards all who were victims of mine accidents, had endeared herself to all the residents of that borough and neighborhood. Mrs. Moore was withal an excellent nurse, with almost a physician's knowledge of treatment for injuries common to those who work in the mines. She was accustomed to care for such unfortunates without asking any compensation.
Mrs. Moore leaves a husband and seven children. One of her sons is Richard Moore, a merchant of Parsons, while another is Joseph Moore, Esq., of Miners Mills. One daughter is the wife of a M. E. clergyman of Pittsburg, Rev. John Bath.
The funeral will take place from the late residence in Miners Mills on Sunday at 2 o'clock. Interment will be made in City Cemetery.
