She was born in Berkeley Co, VA (now Jefferson Co, WV), a daughter of Peter & Hannah (Sewell) Burr. She traveled to what was then known as the Northwest Territory at a very young age in 1798/99 with a group which included her parents, maternal grandparents, David & Mary (Tullis) Sewell, their married sons, and others. She married 1814 Clinton Co, OH to Samuel Hardin, son of Thomas & Mary (Mager or McGee) Hardin. Samuel & Hannah (Burr) Hardin had one known son, Peter Thomas Hardin, 1815-1876.
