James Alvin Martin 74, of Auburn Died Sept. 12, 2000 at the Medical Center of Bowling Green after a lengthy illness.
Furneal services were held Sept. 20 at the Auburn Chapel of the Young Furneal Home. The Rev. J.R. Craig officiated and was assisted by the Rev. Malvin Price. Burial was held at Cave Springs Cemetery in Auburn.
A native of Butler County, he was teh son of the late John Luke and Leora Givens Martin. He was retired from Diabrell Brothers in Bowling Green and a member of the Cave Spring Baptist Church in Logan County.
Survivors include his wife, Betty L Golden Martin of Auburn; two daughters Ann Ests of Bowling Green and Jean Sullivan of Morgantown; one son Wayne Martin of Morgantown; four brothers, Bill Martin of Bowling Green, Ellis Martin of Indianapolis Ind. and Sammy Martin and Norman Martin both of Auburn; four sisters, Edra Dean Dodson and Pauline Gregory, both of Bowling Green, Shirley Gillum of Rockfield and Sue Lynn alexander of Smith Grove; five step-children, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
