Harry F. Schoonmaker, Former Broker, Dies

Harry F. Schoonmaker, 69, of 1606 S. Salina St., died yesterday of a heart attack at a gas station near his home as he brushed snow from his car.

A native of Fabius, he had resided in this city 40 years and was a self-employed stock broker until his retirement 20 years ago.

He served in the Air Corps during World War I and took an active part on the Syracuse rationing board during World War II.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred P. Schoonmaker; a son, H. Frederick Schoonmaker Jr. of East Syracuse; a daughter, Mrs. Robert M. Kogler; four brothers, James P. of Syracuse, Floyd B. of Newark Valley, Edgar P. of Sarasota, Fla. and Clarence F. Schoonmaker of Fayetteville; and three grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Newell & Leonard Funeral Home. The Rev. Barber L. Waters will officiate. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home, 2503 S. Salina St., from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

Masonic services will be at 8 p.m. tomorrow and will be conducted by Tully Lodge, F&AM, of which he was a member.
