Betty Ellen Harper, age 77 of Willow Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday morning, August 27, 2015 at her residence. Born April 2, 1938 in Moorefield, WV, she was the daughter of the late Wilbert Johnston Hartman and Mary Catherine (Strawderman) Hartman. She was a member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Moorefield, the American Legion Auxiliary, the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the Mill Creek Ruritan club. Her husband, Burl H. Harper preceded her in death in July 2015. A son Richard D. Frazier and three sisters, Stella M. Wratchford, Catherine E. Gibson & Dorothy A. Crites, a brother Wilbert J. Hartman, Jr. also preceded her in death.

Surviving is a daughter, Patricia A. Cota of Canton, NY; two sons, Ronald L. Frazier of Amissiville, VA and David A. Frazier of Fairmont, WV; three brothers, W.L. Hartman, Kenneth E. Hartman and Richard R. Hartman; two sisters, Evelyn G. Zaun and Judy A. Hartman; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, September 3, 2015 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 309 Winchester Ave, Moorefield, WV with Eleanor Crump officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
