Marvin D. (Nuge) Lipe

Marvin D. (Nuge) Lipe age 79 of Rogersville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015 at his residence. He served in the United Army and loved playing the Bluegrass Music on his Mandolin He is preceded in death by his, mother, Laura Lipe; father, Ervin Lipe; sisters: Gladys Lipe; brothers: Walter Lipe and Wilford (Dick) Lipe.

Marvin is survived by his sons: Dwayne (Caron) Lipe of Kingsport and Doug (Regina) Lipe of Church Hill; daughters; Donna Sloan and husband Mike of Gate City and Darla Lipe of Gate City and mother of his children; Frances Lipe of Gate City; and sister, Ann Thomas of Rogersville; six grandchildren,two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday, September 6, 2015 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the chapel of Colboch-Price Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at 7:00. Officiating the service will be Pastors Virgil and Travis Lipe and music will be provided by the Bradley Singers and the group Marvin’s Band.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 7, 2015 at the Lipe Cemetery. Anyone who wishes to attend the burial may meet at Colboch-Price at 10:00 a.m. and follow to the cemetery.
