CHURCH HILL-Gladys Lipe, age 79, Church Hill died Wednesday, June 2, 2004 at Wellmont Holston Valley Hospital following an extended illness.
She was of the Baptist faith and was retired from J.P. Stevens after 49 1/2 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Laura Lipe and an infant brother.
She is survived by a sister, Ann Thomas, Rogersville; brothers, Marvin, Walter and Wilfred Lipe, all of Rogersville; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 5, 2004 at Colboch-Price Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Virgil Lipe officiating. Graveside services were held Sunday, June 6, 2004 at the Lipe Family cemetery.
