Daughter of Francis and Anna George Westhoff.
As a young child she moved with her family to rural Parsons where she grew up and attended school. She was one of 11 children.
Marie married 11 Apr 1942 at St. Joseph RC Church, South Mound, Kansas to John Willard Kliewer. He died 27 Jan 1994.
Marie was a dedicated mother and homemaker. A member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, now St. Patrick's, its Altar Society and Daughters of Isabella Circle No. 299. For over 39 years she served as a "Pink Lady" at the Labette County Medical Center where she was named Volunteer or the Year in 1999. She also visited residents weekly at various nursing homes.
John & Marie were the parents of three children.
Funeral Mass was Friday, September 4, 2015 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Parsons. Burial in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
