Mrs. Blanche McClellan White, age 87, of Spokane, Washington, died Dec.14, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane after a brief illness.
A native of Preble County, Ohio, she was a school teacher prior to 1937 when she moved to Spokane. She was one of eight children, all now deceased, including Ben McClellan of Eaton, who preceded her in death on May 27 of this year.
Survivors include many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. White will be cremated with private graveside services at Mound Hill Cemetery at a later date.

Born in Ohio, Nov. 14, 1898, she was the widow of Otto White, owner of White's Shoe Store. She was a member of the Liberty Park United Methodist Church, American Association of University Women, the Shakespearean Study Club, and the National Retired Teachers Association.
She taught home Economics in high school before coming to Spokane.
My note: Daughter of Benjamin W. McClellan and Catherine (Katy) Hocker. First marriage was to O. E. Caldwell.
