Passed away at 6:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2001. He was 86, a former resident of Gretna and a resident of Baton Rouge.

He was born Feb. 9, 1915, in Ardmore, Okla., and grew up in Havana, Ark.

Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and after noon Monday; Religious services at Greenoaks Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Bob Anderson. Internment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

He retired from Haliburton Services with 45 years of service and upon retiring, he enjoyed being a volunteer at Children's Hospital in Gretna.

Survived by two sons, Jim Wyatt, Baton Rouge, and Danny Wyatt, Houston; a daughter, Manon Wyatt, Edmond, Okla.; and their mother, Evelyn Wyatt Pate, Madill, Okla.; a brother, Oscar John Wyatt; four sisters, Lucille Southwick, Edith Cherry, Evelyn Wyatt Williams, all of Arkansas, and June Wyatt Lewis, Arizona; many grandsons, granddaughters and great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Wyatt; a brother, Dave Wyatt; and a sister Roxie Wyatt.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

A special heartfelt appreciation to family and friends and hospice nurses and aides for their love, support and care throughout the family's special time.
