From: Eastern Utah Advocate 1904-09-22 ARTHUR, NOT THOMAS BISHOP, WAS KILLED
The Deseret News of last Friday contains the following: "The father of Thomas Hutchinson, who with Arthur Bishop was killed by a cavein in a mine at Winter Quarters on September 5th, Called yesterday and desired the following corrections to be made. In the first place the young man's name was Arthur not Thomas Bishop. Mr. Hutchinson further said that the statement said to have been made by General manager Williams was not correct inasmuch as it reflected on the young man.
The fact is that their object was to clear the track and get the cars to the rooms where they were mining. Another correction to be made is that young Bishop was interred at Scofield, while the remains of young Hutchinson were shipped to his father at Spanish Fork at his request. Mr. and Mrs. Hutchinson desire to express their heartfelt thanks to their many friends in Tintic, Spanish Fork and to the boys at Scofield who accompanied the remains to the funeral".
