Mary Anna Fell was born in Woodbury (Deptford), Gloucester County, New Jersey. She was baptized at Zion Evangelical Church in Clarksboro, Gloucester County, New Jersey, on 09 Sep 1888, by John H Fenner. When Mary was 16, her father died. She and her family lived at various times in Deptford, Huffville, and Clarksboro.

She married David Werner (sic Warren) Brown on 01 May 1909 in Burlington, Burlington County, New Jersey. John A Housemond was the Officiant and A Gertrude Housemond was the witness.

On the 14 May 1910 US Census, she and David lived in Deptford, Gloucester County, New Jersey, at Woodbury and Mantua Road with his father, sister and brother. In the 1913 Bridgeton, Cumberland County, New Jersey City Directory, their residence was Clarksboro, Gloucester County, New Jersey. David was working as a machinist and tool grinder at KIng's Highway, in Clarksboro. He was listed as D Warren Brown.

In 1915, Mary and David lived in Gloucester City, Camden County, New Jersey, with her sister, Bertha R Fell. David was a machinist. Mary was a dressmaker. Bertha was a stenographer. Marry was listed as, "Mrs. Mamie Brown," on David's 06 Sep 1918 WW I Draft Card at 501 Bridgeton Street, Gloucester City, Camden County, New Jersey. He was working as a machinist for Harry Price.

On the 06 Jan 1920 US Census, she was living with David in Columbus Ward 13, Franklin County, Oho. They were boarders in the home of James J and May Keefe. Mary Anna was a dressmaker in a department store. David was a machinist for a railway shop.

On the 16 Apr 1930 US Census, she was living in Oldmans, Salem County, New Jersey, with her cousins, John A Herti (69) and Arthur John Herti (45). She was divorced and unemployed. In 1935, she was living in Hallandale, Broward County, Florida. On the 06 Apr 1940 US Census, she was living in Precinct 14, Hallandale, Broward County, Florida, with her cousin Author J Harte (Arthur John Harti; 56, a farmer). She said she was a "widow," but David Warren Brown was still living. She was a dressmaker in a private home.

At the time of her death, she was living with her sister, Katherine "Kate" Fell Leggoe and brother-in-law, Alfred Leggoe, at 428 East Louden Street, Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was a seamstress. The cause of death was a malignant brain tumor.
