Katherine Helen "Kate" Fell Leggoe was the daughter of John Carl Fell Jr. (1861-1904) and Anna Elizabeth Klehm Fell (1862-1929). Her twin sister was Emma May Fell Blake (1895-1979).

Kate married Alfred Leggoe II on 03 Jul 1920. He was the son of Alfred Leggoe I (1862-1909) and Emma Shindle Leggoe (1865-1940).

Katherine and Alfred had two sons: Alfred Leggoe III (1921-1982) and James Howard Leggoe Sr. (1923-2003).

For many years, the Leggoe family lived at 428 East Louden Street, Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Katherine died at the Burlington County Memorial Hospital in Mount Holly Township, Burlington, New Jersey.
