BAXTER, NEPPIE ANSLIE BERRY, 100, of Louisville, formerly of Henry County, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville.

She was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Harris) Berry.

She retired as a teacher after 30 years of educational service. She was a member of Frankfort Baptist Church and the Worthville Chapter of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Baxter; and one grandson, Robert Gerald Baxter.

Survived by two daughters: Evelyn Dean Davis (Al Cleve) of Mt. Washington, Jean Ricketts (Roy Leon) of Louisville; two sons, Morris Baxter, Jr. (Fran) of Rockville, MD, Robert E. Baxter (Dorothy) of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Stacey Dawn Wilson, Roy Michael Ricketts, Becky Baxter Ricketts, Robert Wayne Baxter, Robin Carol Pullias, Laura Louise Baxter, Anslie Jean Baxter, Helen Adele Southworth; eleven great-grandchilden; three nieces; and one nephew.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Nick Coleman of Sulphur, KY, with burial in Sulphur Cemetery. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Form of contributions may be given to Port Royal Baptist Church or to Senior Citizens East.

Neppie Anslie Berry Baxter, age 100, of Louisville, formerly of Henry County, passed away on Thursday, May 25, 2006 at Baptist Hospital East in Louisville. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Harris Berry, retired after 30 years as a teacher for various schools in Port Royal, Lockport, Elkhorn in Frankfort, Sulphur and LaGrange. She was a member of Frankfort Baptist Church and the Worthville Chapter of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Al Cleve (Evelyn Dean) Davis, Mt. Washington; Mrs. Roy Leon (Jean) Ricketts, Louisville; two sons: Morris Baxter Jr. and wife Fran , Rockville, MD; Robert E. Baxter and wife, Dorothy, Louisville; eight grandchildren: Stacey Dawn Wilson, Roy Michael Ricketts, Becky Baxter Ricketts, Robert Wayne Baxter, Robin Carol Pullias, Laura Louise Baxter, Anslie Jean Baxter, Helen Adele Southworth and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Baxter and one grandson, Robert Gerald Baxter.

Funeral services will be today (Wednesday, May 31) at 2 p.m. at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Rev. Nick Coleman, Sulphur, will officiate. Burial will be in Sulphur Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be Lois James, Julia Ann Hartman, Ronnie Young, Wendell Berry, Leland Payton, Billy Allen Stewart and Glen Dowden.

Active pallbearers will be Wayne Baxter, Patrick Ricketts, Mike Ricketts, Doug Wilson, Ben Baxter and McCauley Ricketts.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Port Royal Baptist Church or to Senior Citizens East.
