William B. Boyles

William B. Boyles, aged 83, of New Castle R. D. 5 (East Brook road), passed away at the residence Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock. Death was due to infirmities of age.

Born in Hickory township, Lawrence county, on August 2, 1857, son of James and Jane Elliott Boyles. He spent his entire lifetime in this vicinity and was the last surviving member of his family of ten children. He was a retired farmer.

On April 2 of this year, Mr. Boyles and his wife, Johannah McCormick Boyles, would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. He was a member of Central Presbyterian church in this city, noted for his good Christian character, and highly respected. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Howard M. Boyles and E. Morris Boyles. both of New Castle RD5, Ellis A. Boyles, New Castle R. D. 2; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Cunningham funeral home, East Washington and Chestnut streets with his pastor Rev. Robert Meade Patterson, D. D. in charge. Interment will be in Greenwood cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9.
