Daughter of Jacob Koofer and Sarah Gast. Married of John G. Watters 7 March 1861 in Altoona. Mother of seven known children.

Obituary:
MRS. MARGARET WATTERS
Widow of John G. Watters, died at 1:50 o'clock yesterday afternoon at her home, 816 North Fourth street, Bellwood, death resulting from a complication of diseases. Deceased was a daughter of Jacob and Sarah Koofer and was born near Frankstown on Sept. 23, 1839. During practically her entire life she had been a member of the Methodist church and was also until her health failed an attendant at Sunday school, a member of class No.3. Since last Oct. 18 she had been ill at her home. Her husband died twenty three years ago. Two sons and two daughters survive: I. M. and N. T. Watters, both of Bellwood; Miss Rosa, at home, and Mrs. Daniel Bills of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren survive, and a brother and sister; J. L. Koofer and Mrs. D. A. White of Lawrence, Kansas. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and will be public. Private interment will follow in Logan Valley cemetery.
