Irma Ruth Talley Wed at Barksdale

Miss Irma Ruth Talley of Shreveport, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Talley, Sr., of Campti, became the bride of T/Sgt. Robert Joseph Willhoff of Barksdale Field, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Willhoff of Coldwater, Ohio, on Aug. 5, in Barksdale Field chapel with the Rev. P.E. Conway officiating.

The altar was banked with white gladioli and palms and prior to the service Miss Mary Glorioso at the organ accompanied Miss Margie Mae Stephenson, vocalist.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and made a lovely picture in her white slipper satin wedding frock fashioned along simple lines. Her veil of illusion was outlined with lace and caught to her head by a coronet of orange blossoms. The bridal bouquet was or orchids, tuberoses and stephanotis arranged on a white Bible.

Miss Jean Talley, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, and bridesmaids were Eva Sartain and Miss Mildred Oberle, Little Miss La Juan McKinnon was flower girl. They wore attractive pastel frocks and carried aster bouquets. Pvt. G. M. Saglime was best man and ushers were S/Sgt Tony Bissionette and T/Sgt. B. J. Korman, Jr., all of Barksdale.

After the service, a reception was held in the home of the bride's sister, Mrs. Bruce Ford and Mr. Ford of Elizabeth street. Those assisting in the courtesies were Mrs. L. F. Long, Miss Wilma Pynes and Mrs. Charles Kessler.

Out-of-town guests were Mrs. Jacob Willhoff, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Kessler of Coldwater, Ohio, and Mr. and Mrs. W. V. Talley of Campti. (Wedding information contributed by Candyce Farris Dixon)
