IDA BURRE ROZENDAL

Mrs. Ida Rozendal, who spent all of the 75 years of her life in the Pilot Knob area, died at 1:20 this morning at the family home for the last few years at 921 Ohio. She had appeared in fairly good health until recently.
Mrs. Rozendal was born Aug. 13, 1876, a daughter of John and Katherine Ott Burre, the home being atop Pilot Knob.
Her marriage to Gerardus Rozendal was at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Leavenworth on Jun 24, 1896. Mr. Rozendal until a few years ago operated a greenhouse on Ohio near Sixteenth with Mrs. Rozendal assisting in the business. They retired a few years ago and moved to the Ohio Street address.
Mrs. Rozendal was a life member of St Paul's Lutheran Church and also of the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
Other than her husband, Mrs. Rozendal is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jean Christensen Fort Lewis, Wash., and Mrs. Elizabeth Farris, Summit, N. J.; two sons, Rear Admiral H. D. Rozendal, Jacksonville, Fla., and Gerardus Rozendal, Lookout Mount Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Meyer, Lakeside, Calif., and a brother Fred Burre; Pilot Knob on Ohio and K-92. There are four grandchildren. The body has been removed to the Davis Funeral Church where funeral arrangements are to be announced, time depending upon the arrival of children. Burial will be in Mount Muncie Cemetery.
