Obituary - Joseph P. Sabo, {1982}
Joseph P. Sabo, 76, of Aurora, died Friday, December 17 at Mercy Center Hospital. He was born September 17, 1906 in East Chicago, Indiana.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Loyal Order of the Moose 400 and the Plumbers Union 319. He had been employed at the Illinois State Training School in Geneva until his retirement in 1968.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Frank {Sharon} Beverley, of Aurora and Mr. Penny Matt of California; four grandchildren; one brother, David P. Sabo, of Dallas, Texas; Three sisters, Julia Brownell, of California, Catherine Sabo, of Aurora and Helen Wilson, of Oswego and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine J. Sabo, in 1979; his parents, Louis and Mary Gyuran Sabo and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services were held at 12:30 p.m. Monday from Daleiden High Street Mortuary to St. Mary's Catholic Church. Concelebrated mass was offered by the Re. Richard W. Paddock and Everett I. Hiller. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Geneva.
