CALDWELL — Services for James Albert Bryant, 87, Caldwell Route 2, who died Monday in a Caldwell hospital, will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, with John Free of the Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Canyon Hill.
Mr. Bryant was born May 24, 1878, in Madison County, Ark., and was married April 9, 1900, in Pettigrew, Ark., to Allie R. Porter. The couple lived at Pettigrew until 1928, and then lived at Wilberton, Okla., and Rock Porte, Mo., before coming to Caldwell in 1944. He was a farmer. Mrs. Bryant died Feb. 5, 1956, in Caldwell.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are four sons, W. Z. Bryant of Roseburg, Ore., O. Ray Bryant, O. R. Bryant and N. L. Bryant, all of Antioch, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Grace Holson, Caldwell, Mrs. Lula Miller, Clyde, Calif., and Mrs. Nola Faddis, Jackson, Calif.; 49 grandchildren; and 90 great-grandchildren. Two sons preceded him in death.
