Stine was a long-time resident of rural Adel.
Stine received his education in Dallas County and attended Bethany Seminary in 1924.
On August 21, 1929, he married Roselba Pearson. They had two sons, John Pearson and Harry Henry.
He farmed in Washington Towsnhip all his life and in 1958 was named "Outstanding Farmer" by the Perry Kiwanis Club.
Stine joined the Church of the Brethren at Panther Creek at an early age. Later, he transferred to the Church of the Brethren in Dallas Center and remained a member until his death.
He served his church as a deacon since 1947.
Stine and his wife celebrated their 50th wedding aniversary August 19th.
He was preceded in death by his son, John, his parents and his brother Galen.
