The Lord called Betty Lee McCully home on May 27, 2015. She was born on June 26, 1926 in Texola, Oklahoma, the last of nine children born to James and Kitty Andress. Betty married the love of her life, Bill G. McCully on August 15, 1946 in Borger, Texas. Betty and Bill centered their lives together on serving Jesus Christ and His church. Betty retired from the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma in 1995 and enjoyed fond memories of the many wonderful people with whom she worked. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings and their spouses. Betty is survived by her husband, Bill; their daughters, Beth Runnels and Becky Varner; son-in-law, David Varner; grandson, Brian Runnels and numerous nephews, nieces and their families. Viewing will be Sunday, May 31st from 1:00-9:00pm with family present from 2:00-4:00pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. The funeral will be held Monday, June 1st at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Mercer-Adams. The family expresses gratitude to Dr. David Fisher, Dr. Lawrence Davis, Dr. Thomas Showalter and many others who helped care for our loved one. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Betty Lee McCully to Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children.
