WIDOW OF PEACE OFFICER CALLED
Mrs Louisa Hartvig Dies At Sonora Home Suddenly; No Funeral Time Set
Sonora, Jan 15 - Mrs Louisa Hartvig, a native of Tuolumne county, died suddenly at her home in this city about noon Tuesday from cerebral hemorrhage, which was preceded by an illness of only a few moments warning.
Mrs Hartvig, a ardent lover of flowers, was working in her garden when she was suddenly stricken ill. She went into the house and a doctor was called but when he arrived she was dead. The physician announced that death was caused by a hemorrhage of the brain.
Deceased was the widow of the late William Hartvig, who served as justice of the peace in Sonora some years ago, and has lived in Sonora for many years. She was born in Jamestown, December 18, 1857, and was 70 years old.
She is survived by a sister, Mrs. Bell Morsehead of Oakland; a brother, Philip Keefe of San Diego; and several nieces and nephews in Sonora and Oakland.
Funeral arrangements in charge of C H Burden are awaiting arrangements to be made by relatives. Internment will be in the IOOF cemetery in this city.
