From the Town of Tusten Historian obituary collection, Narrowsburg, Sullivan County, NY: "Christine Braning Hessberger Smith of Binghamton, who donated her home, The Calder House in Equinink, to the Equinunk Historical Society, died December 10. She was 91.
Daughter of the late William and Mary Branning.
Widow of Jacob Hessberger and Royal Smith.
Survivors are a brother, Frank Branning of Honesdale, PA, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded by a sister, Lucy Well and and brother Walter Branning.
A Memorial service was held at the Pine Mill Cemetery, Manchester Twp. The Rev Francis Waite, pastor of the Emory United Methodist church officiated."
