Mary Olive "Ollie" Barrett was born on Monday, 1 April 1878 in West Terre Haute, Vigo County, Indiana. She was the 5th known child born to Andrew Jackson & Sarah Elizabeth (Baldwin) Barrett. Ollie grew up between the towns of West Terre Haute & Terre Haute of Indiana & Martinsville, Clark County, Illinois.
At the age of 16, on Saturday, 22 Sept 1894 in Vigo County, Indiana Ollie married Robert Louis Anderson with Justice of Peace Francis W Howe officiating. She & Robert lived their entire life in Vigo County, Indiana; residing in West Terre Haute, Dresser & Taylorville ( 423 S 5th Street & 3005 N 13 ½ Street). Ollie had several jobs in her life; midwife, grocer at families’ Taylorville store, undertaker assistance & manager of the Andersons Tavern.
Ollie & Robert had 7 known children with all living to adulthood:

Mrs Mary Ollie Anderson Greenwood, age 65 years, 4 months & 12 days of RR2 Dresser died at home on Friday, 13 Aug 1943. She died from a Diabetic Coma which she had for 3 days prior to her death & was under the care of Dr V.A. Shanklin. No autopsy was performed. Her informant at death was her son Joseph Anderson of RR2 West Terre Haute. Her husband George Greenwood is listed as her surviving spouse. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Louis Anderson, her parents & son Ira Anderson. Roger & Wedel of West Terre Haute performed her funeral with burial in Bethesda Cemetery in West Terre Haute on Sunday, 15 Aug 1943. She is buried with her first husband Robert Louis Anderson.
