Clinton Leroy Beers, 96, of 945 Mercer Rd., Franklin, died at 1:15 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 1995, at Northwest Medical Center, Franklin.

Born April 23, 1898, in Franklin, he was a son of George and Effie Dillie Beers.

Mr. Beers was employed by C.P.T. of Franklin as a cupola operator. He was a member of the Franklin Moose and the Franklin V.F.W. and an avid hunter and fisherman.

Mr. Beers married the former Ruth Odessia Krepp on July 2, 1928. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are a son, Arthur Eugene Beers of Franklin; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Wilda Dean) Greenlee of Hannaville and Mrs. Joan McGuire of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel O'Brien of Westminster, Calif. and Mrs. David (Gertrude) Reagle of Grove City; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and wife, Mr. Beers was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis and Manuel; three sisters, Daisy Austin, Maude Powers and Mabel Blair; two daughters, Wanetta Beers and Maude Gegogine; and two grandchildren, Robert Gregory and Duane Greenlee.

The Robert W. Gardiner Funeral Home in Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
