Hazel Elliott, a student in the home economics department, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William C. Elliott, 228 Liberty Street, Franklin, and Charles E. Sollinger, a student in the music department, son of Mrs. Minnie Beers, 1166 Otter Street, Franklin, attained the dean's list at Indiana State Teachers College during the first semester of the academic year.

Minnie M. Beers, 81, of 621 Tenth St., died at 9:10 pm Saturday in her home. She was born in Sugar Lake, Crawford County, April 22, 1900, daughter of Emery and Effie L. Dilley Beers.

She is survived by her children, Richard E. Sollinger of Akron, OH, twins, Willard D. Sollinger of Akron, OH, and Charles E. Sollinger of West Aurora, NY, and Mrs. Joan Hartzell of Brookville.; her sisters, Maude Powers of NC, Mabel Blair of Franklin, Hazel O'Brien of Long Beach, CA, and Gertrude Reagle of Grove City; and a brother, Clinton Beers of Franklin; 24 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Daisy Austin and Gladys Sollinger, and two brothers, Manuel Beers and Louis Beers.

Services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home with Rev. John Sass of the Christ United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery
