Wanita Jean Beers, daughter of Clinton L. and Ruth Krepp Beers of Uniontown Hill, died of a fractured skull after she coasted into a moving automobile, per death certificate 9631, whose informant was her father. Buried Jan 10 1940.

Wanita Jean Beers, 8, twin daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Beers of Uniontown, formerly of Grove City, was fatally injured at 4:15 pm Monday in the first coasting accident of the Franklin area this season. She was coasting down the lane known as Union Street, which intersects with the old Pittsburgh and old Mercer roads, when her sled collided with a car. A high embankment near the intersection prevents view of the lance from the road. They took the child to the Franklin Hospital, where she died within a few minutes.

She was born Feb. 27, 1932,. The family moved to their present home two weeks ago. She was a student in the 3rd grade of Bunker Hill School.

Surviving are her parents; three sisters, Maude Marie, 11, Wilda Dean, 8, her twin, and Jean Louise, 6.

Services will be at 1 pm Wednesday at the home of her maternal grandfather, George Krepp, on Kenneth Street, Bleakley Hill. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
