Marvin C. Plagman was born in Alexandria, Minnesota on May 8, 1915, the son of William and Tillie (Lorenz) Plagman. He attended school in Alexandria and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Marvin was united in marriage to Evelyn C. Andersen of Osakis, minnesota on July 27, 1940. Mr. Plagman was employed by the Great Northern Railroad and lived in Alexandria until 1963 then moving to Minneapolis where he was living at the time of his death. Marvin was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran church of Minneapolis and also a member of Alcoholic's Anonymous. Marvin passed away very suddenly at his home in Minneapolis on Friday, June 11, 1976.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. John (Dana) Rocheford of Minneapolis; one son, David Plagman of Sherman Oaks, California; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Nick (Caroline) Schwitella of Alexandria; two brothers Orval of Alameda, California and Fred of Alexandria.
He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers. Funeral services were Tuesday, June 15, 1976, 10:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. K. K. Hill officiating. Pallbearers were Bert Lorenz, Ervin Lorenz, Walter Lorenz, Roy Lorenz, Herman Horton and Ray Capouch. Interment was at Kinkead cemetery, Alexandria, Minnesota. Services were directed by Alexandria Funeral Home.
