He was a miner. He was a member of Brackens Creek United Methodist Church, Russellville, Longdale Masonic Lodge 14, Lookout, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry S.J. 32nd degree, Beni Kedem Temple and Longdale Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 83.
Surviving: wife, Maxine Blagg; daughters, Linda Forest of Hurricane, Mary Gresham of Russellville; sister, Juanita Self of Louisville, Ky.; half sisters, Kendall Lane of Winston-Salem, N.C., Kay Hunter of Rainelle, Connie Garten of Danese; half brothers, William I. Blagg Jr. of Danese, Carl Blagg of Winston-Salem, Dennis Blagg of Big Stone Gap, Va.; five grandchildren; two great- grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Home, Ansted, with the Rev. Michael Loudermilk officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites will be in Baker Cemetery, Russellville.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
