Mrs. Rose Carrie Meredith, 98, R.2, New Lisbon, passed away Tuesday at the Hess Memorial Hospital in Mauston. Friends may call at the Hare Funeral Home after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last rites will be at the funeral home Friday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock.
A daughter of Gustave and Christine Krohmer, she was born Sept. 27, 1868 in New Lisbon. She attended the New Lisbon Public Schools. She was united in marriage to Edwin T. Meredith on June 30, 1893 in New Lisbon. They lived in the Welch Prairie area. He preceded her in death in 1939.
Survivors include one son, Tom of R.2, New Lisbon; one daughter, Margaret Meredith of Portage; and one granddaughter.
