Fond du Lac Commonwealth Reporter, Mon. Aug. 19, 1929, p. 16:8. WOMAN, NATIVE OF EDEN, IS DEAD. Mrs. Christ Kierig Dies At Family Home On East Second Street. Mrs. Louise Kierig, wife of Christ Kierig, 419 East Second street, died at her home at 5:20 a.m. today following an illness of five months duration. Mrs. Kierig was 67 years old. She was born in Eden Dec. 2, 1861, living there until her marriage to Mr. Kierig on April 21, 1885. For 18 years they made their home in Campbellsport where Mr. Kierig was in the meat business and then moved to this city. Eight children were born, seven of whom survive, as does her widower. The children are Nick Kierig of Schiller Park, Adolph Kierig of Manitowoc, Mrs. Stanley Jaworska of Grimms, Mrs. Joseph Menge, Mrs. Elmer Schneider, Mrs. James Duffy and Miss Helen Kierig of this city. There are also 16 grandchildren and the following brothers and sisters: Peter, Henry, John and William Braun of Eden; Mrs. A. Bachman, Mrs. M. Herbert, Mrs. A. Stenz and Mrs. J.H. Maney of this city. The funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday from the residence and at 9:30 from St. Mary’s church, the Rev. Peter W. Gersbach officiating. Burial will be at Calvary cemetery. The body was removed this afternoon from the Hardgrove and Gordon Funeral home to the residence. Mrs. Kierig was a member of the Altar society of St. Mary’s church.

Funeral services for Mrs. Louise Kierig, wife of Christ Kierig, 419 East Second street were held at St. Mary’s Catholic church this morning with the Rev. A. Carrels of St. Lawrence officiating. Burial was at Calvary cemetery, where the Rev. Peter W. Gersbach officiated. The Altar society of St. Mary’s church attended in a body. Mrs. Kierig died at 5:20 a.m. Monday, following an illness of five months duration. Bearers were Arthur Maney, Edward Bachman and Alfred Herbert of Fond du Lac, and Paul, Oscar and George Braun of Eden. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were J. Willkom, Mrs. Kelmies, Mrs. T. Dormher, F. Klemies and M. Gonring of West Bend; Mrs. M. Gonring of Milwaukee; P. Stenz and family of Milwaukee; F. Wilderman and family of Madison; Mrs. S.
