On January 12, 1921 he was united in marriage to Minnie Middleton at Manvel, North Dakota by Rev. Shiperd. Mrs. Anderson preceded him in death December 6, 1974.
He was an active member of his church and community and served on the Town Board for many years and also on the School Board for District 99.
He passed away at his home in La Grand Township on Friday, November 12, 1976 at the age of 84 years.
Surviving are four sons and two daughters: Alden of Alexandria; Russell of Garfield; Delores (Mrs. Norman Kvilhaug) of Garfield; Clinton of Garfield; LaVonne (Mrs. Clifford Peterson) of Alexandria; Robert of Garfield; also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren; one sister, Alvina (Mrs. Henry Nelson); two brothers:
Glenville of Alexandria and Wilhelm of St. Paul.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 16, 1976 at 2 p.m. in First Lutheran Church, Alexandria, Minn. with Rev. Ronald Otterson and Rev. H. Strand officiating. Kinkead cemetery, Alexandria, Minn. was where the interment took place. Pallbearers were Russell Thompson, Floyd Johnson, Bud Hustad, Vernon Norling, Ralph Hoverson, and Arnold Angen.
