Barbara McCallion, 83, Hays, died Friday, April 7, 2006, at Hays Medical Center. She was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Hays to Andrew and Anna (Schoenfeldt) Pfeifer.
She married Harry McCallion, who preceded her in death.
She worked at the Ramada Inn and Holiday Inn for 35 years.
Survivors include a son, Virgil Dreiling, Hays; two daughters, Jodie Blake and Jeanie Dechant, both of Hays; four sisters, Gen Murphy, Kingman, Eleanor Carlisle, Topeka, Florine Williams, Hays, and Mary Lawler, Victoria; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was cremated, with Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home handling the arrangements. A Barbara McCallion Memorial Fund has been established in her name and may be sent to the funeral home, 20th and Pine.
