FRED DAVID (COOKIE) COOKE, 54, of 170 S. Second St., Chambersburg, died at 3:55 a.m. Saturday at the Chambersburg Hospital, 5 minutes after he had been admitted following a heart attack.
He was the son of Daniel H. Cook, Shippensburg, and the late Minnie (Jones) Cook.
He had been employed by the Chambersburg Borough Gas Company 15 years and was also a master electrician.
He and his wife operated the F and M amusement devices during the summer months.
Mr. Cooke was a member of the Goodwill Fire Company for 30 years and a charter member of the Loyal Order of Moose, Lodge 842, Chambersburg.
Surviving are his widow, Mildred (Rodgers) Cook and a daughter, Sandra Kay, at home; his father; sisters, Miss Jennie Cook, Mrs. Easter Coldsmith and Mrs. Louis Knodle, all of Shippensburg; Mrs. Sarah Diehl, Steelton; brother, Albert Cook, Chambersburg.
Services will be held at the Barbour Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. J. Stewart Glen in charge and interment in Norland Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7-9 and a memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. by LOOM members.
