Myrna Brooksby, 98 of Newport, OR passed away January 25, 2015, from natural causes. She was born March 15, 1916, in Aurora, Utah to Joseph and Sarah Curtis Thorson. Myrna graduated from high school in Provo, UT and was a legal and medical secretary as well as a homemaker. She enjoyed photography, playing bridge, making dolls, and collecting artwork. She loved the Oregon Coast and loved her home overlooking the Pacific Ocean. She was an accomplished organist and was a member of the Hammond Organ Society. She was an active member in PEO International in Newport, OR, which is a philanthropic organization to celebrate the advancement of women.

Myrna married Wilford Armond Brooksby on March 14, 1937, in Provo, UT.

Myrna was preceded in death by her husband Wilford in June, 2001 and son Gerald in November, 2007.

Entombment at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Eugene, Oregon.
