Klugh, who was also called Josie at times, was born to William Alpheus and Margaret Emily (Chapman) Rhodes in Lincoln County, Tenn. She had two half brothers, James S. and Columbus Yancy Rhodes, and two brothers, Joel Nash and Albert Franklin Rhodes,and one sister Stella Rhodes Gardner. Her family moved to Lamar County, Texas when she was young and she became an orphan by the time she was ten years old. On Feb. 17, 1901 she married Oscar McGill in Deport, Texas. They moved to Indian Territory(Oklahoma) in the early 1900's, first settling in Bomar, and then later moving to Addington Bend purchasing a farm there. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Klugh and Oscar's children were: Margaret Virginia, Daisy Beatrice, William J.(Buster), Dora Estella, Clyde E. and Paul Homer McGill.
