Emma lived in the Covington area her entire life and was a member of Edgemont Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was predeceased by her parents, daughter Neola Jean Howe, and 6 of her siblings (William Henry, Bessie Viola, Rosa Pearl, Charles Lee, James Jasper, and Benjamin Percy). Left behind to mourn were Emma's husband of 44+ years, Norval; son Howard; daughter Karen; sisters Mary Ellen, Eva Irene, and Lena Frances; brother Robert Hollings/Howens; plus a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
