LIEBENTHAL – Funeral services for Mrs. Fred (Anna) Schuckman, 68, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joseph Catholic Church conducted by the Rev. Eugene Van Sloun. Mrs. Schuckman died Monday in Rush County Hospital after a one day’s illness.

She was born Aug. 5, 1896 in Liebenthal and was married to Fred Schuckman on Sept. 15, 1914 in Liebenthal. He died in 1958.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic church and its organizations.

Survivors include eight sons, Victor of Hays, Eddie of La Crosse, Freddie of Brownell, Gilbert of Burlington, Wis., John of Gorham, Elmer of El Paso, Tex., Adolph of Victoria, Robert of Denver, Colo.; four daughters, Mrs. Isabel Stremel of Schoenchen, Mrs. Mary Herl of Victoria, Mrs. Lucy Unrein of Brownell, Edna of Denver, Colo.; two brothers, Pete and John Legleiter, both of La Crosse; three sisters, Mrs. Anton Schuckman of Liebienthal, Mrs. Katie Kuhn of La Crosse, Mrs. Lizzie Burns of Pfeifer; 58 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Rosaries will be recited Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall in Liebenthal. Friends may call at the Hoover-Pittman Funeral Home in La Crosse.
