Myron J. Sturgeon, 85, of Long Beach, CA, and formerly of Sioux City, died Mar 20, 1991 at a nursing home at Long Beach after a long illness. Services were Mar 28 at Strickley, Shively Chapel in Long Beach with Pastor Paul Estelo officiating. Burial was in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier, CA. Mr. Sturgeon was born Mar 27, 1905, in Sioux City. He graduated from Central High School in 1923. He married Bonnie Riggs of Sioux city Sept 23, 1923.She died in Mar 1983 in Long Beach. He was a postal employee in Long Beach from 1923 to 1957. Survivors include a son, Myron J. Jr. of Stanton, CA; two sisters: Helen Moon of Sioux City, and Blanche Eddleston of Payson, AZ. He was preceded in death by seven sisters, 2 brothers.
