Forrest R. Ackerman, 45, of RD #1, Glenns Run, Martins Ferry, OH died Mon.,Dec. 14, 1964 at Martins Ferry Hospital, Martins Ferry. He was born Sept.19, 1919 in Woodsfield a son of Jacob and Edna (Dougherty) Ackerman.
He was an employee of the Yorkville Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel ,a member of the First Christian Church, Martins Ferry and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife Freda (Ward) Ackerman, four sons, Forrest R.,Charles R. , Rickie L. , and Terry R. Ackerman all of the home, a daughter Margaret D. Ackerman of the home, a brother Gilbert Ackerman and a sister Mrs. Harry (Gladys) Baker.
Friends will be recieved at the Heslop Funeral Home, 409 Walnut St.,MartinsFerry, OH where services will be conducted Wed. at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dean Warren officiating. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry.
