Charles Randy Ackerman, 65, of Bridgeport, OH died Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA. He was born June 12, 1952 in Martins Ferry, OH a son of the late Forrest Ackerman and Freda (Ward) Ackerman Klika.
He was retired from Domino’s Pizza and also the Emergency Medical Service, Martins Ferry. Charles was a member of the Prayer Hill Church of God, Wheeling, WV and Martins Ferry Ladder Company.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father John Klika.
Surviving are his wife, (3) children (and their spouses), (3) brothers (and their spouses), 2 sisters (1 married) and (7) grandchildren (2 married).
Friends will be received Friday 5-8 p.m. at the Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Prayer Hill Church of God, 51 36th St., Wheeling, WV. Burial follows in Riverview Cemetery, Martins Ferry, OH.
Services will be held by the Martins Ferry Fire Department, Friday at 7:00 p. m. at the funeral home.
