Hazel Pearce Lane Wagner died Dec. 10, 1996, in her home.
A retired employee of C & P Telephone Co. with 30 years service, she was a native of Zebulon, N.C, and attended Eastminster Presbyterian Church. She was a member of Pioneers of America and Indian River Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her husband, Edward F. Wagner; grandsons, Jack Hampton Lane Jr. and William "Bill" Scott Lane, both of Virginia Beach; stepdaughter, Ann W. Landry of Baton Rouge, La.; three sisters, and brothers-in-law, Elsie and Fred Humphrey and Rheba and Leroy Modlin, all of Virginia Beach, Thelma and Bill Davis of Richmond; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul H. and Audrey Pearce and Wade L. and Thelma Pearce, all of Norfolk; and also Pat and Emmett Sawyer and Ingrid Sparger of Virginia Beach. She was predeceased by her son, Jack Hampton Lane; parents, Lucy W. and Wade Hampton Pearce; and a brother, Roy T. Pearce.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by Pastor Robert E. Hobson Jr. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be in the funeral home from 7:30 to 9 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the Eastminster Presbyterian Church, Box 13005, Chesapeake, Va. 23325.
