Helen Louise James, 75, of Bossier City, passed away on Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Mrs. James was preceded in death by parents Hugh and Beulah Cherry, husband Glendon James, son Glen James, 3 brothers and 5 sisters. Survivors include 7 brothers, 2 sisters, daughters Judy Jones and husband Allan, and Sherrie Gandy and husband Leon, 6 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Helen was known for having a big heart and was always looking for ways of helping her family and friends. She was a Red Cross volunteer at Barksdale Air Force Base for many years, worked in retail and retired, after which she began cleaning houses for those in need. Helen also volunteered her time at First Baptist of Bossier City where she enjoyed working with children in Tiny Town. She was a Christian woman who led by example and inspired others to do the same.

Memorial services will be held in Faith Chapel of First Baptist in Bossier City at 11:00 AM on November 17, 2014.
