Myrtle Ritzler, 88, 1969 Sycamore-New Washington Rd., Bloomville, died at 1:10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 in Mercy Hospital, Tiffin, after being severely ill two months.
A resident of the Bloomville Nursing Home for the past 1 1/2 years, Mrs. Ritzler had been in failing health two years.
Born June 24, 189 in Rogers City, Mich., she was the daughter of George and Clara (Schafer) Westerman, who preceded her in death. She was married Aug. 9, 1916, to Edward Ritzler, who died Aug. 3, 1976. One son, five brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Doris Hunsicker, Sylvania, three sons, George Ritzler, Lykens, Pual Ritzler, Tolleson, Ariz., David Ritzler, Nevada; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ritzler spent most of her life in the Lykens area. She was a member of Lykens United Methodist Church, the Womens' Missionary Church, the Women's Missionary Society of the church and Lykens Community Club.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Lykens Unit4ed Methodist Church, with the Rev. James Boggan officiating. Burial will be in Brokensword Cemetery.
Calling hours will be observed Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Walton-Moore Funeral Home. The body will also lie in state from 12:30 to the time of service at the church.
The family requests memorials be made to Lykens United Methodist Church.
