Mrs. Eva Denning Cashwell, 83, of Mebane, formerly of Clinton, died Monday, November 10, 2014 at Presbyterian Home of Hawfields in Mebane. She was born January 3, 1931 in Johnston County to the late Bertis Lee and Georgia Maynard Denning. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Carl, Bert and Willie Houston Denning and a sister, Edna Cashwell.
Mrs. Cashwell was a member of Bethany PFWB Church in Clinton. She worked with American Greeting Card and Avon as a sales representative.
A funeral service will be held at 11am, Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Skinner & Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Jenkins officiating. Burial to follow at Smyrna FWB Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10-11am prior to service.
Mrs. Cashwell is survived by two daughters, Glenda C. Walden and husband Bob of Mebane and Hilda C. Koonce and husband Tommy of Wilmington; a brother, Granville Denning and wife Peggy of Dunn; two sisters, Georgia McConnell of Dunn and Merdie Best of Mt. Olive; and one grandchild, Jennifer Trbovich and husband Andy.
